HOTLINE-TANKS (GMTK Game Jam Entry)

A fast paced top-down tank action game built for gmtk Game Jam 2026.

THEME:  COUNT DOWN

Stay fast, stay sharp!

  • Alert Countdown: Clear the room guards before their countdown hits 0 and the alarm triggers enemy back-up reinforcements! 
  • Level Clock: Clear each room before the level count down expires.

CONTROLS:

  1. WASD: Drive Tank Hull.
  2. Mouse: Aim Turret.
  3. Spacebar / Left Click: Fire Tank Shells.
  4. R: Quick Reload.

LINUX TOUCHPAD NOTE:

If aiming freezes while holding WASD on a Linux laptop touchpad, disable "Touchpad while typing" in your OS settings or plug in any USB mouse!

Install instructions

 INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:

    Windows Players:

    1. Download HotlineTanks_Windows(1).zip

    2. Extract / Unzip the folder.

    3. Double-click the .exe file inside to play!

    Linux Players:

    1. Download HotlineTanks_Linux(1).zip

    2. Extract / Unzip the folder.

    3. Run ./MyImGuiApp in terminal or double-click to play!
